FAQ
Olive wood is meant to last a lifetime, with proper care mad maintenance it will become a family heirloom passed on from generation to generation. Providing proper care is vital to the life of your olive wood purchase. We recommend a soft soap such as dawn and hot water for cleaning, followed by a coat of food grade oil. When picking an oil it is important to choose the correct one. Mineral Oil, Linseed Oil and Grapeseed Oil are all acceptable options. Butcher Block Oil will work as well but due to the density of the grain structure we have found it to not absorb and protect as well as thinner oils.
DO NOT USE:
VEGTIABLE OIL
COCUNUT OIL
AVACADO OIL
OLIVE OIL
OR ANY OIL USED IN THE COOKING OR PREPARATION OF FOOD!!!
Yes, it is. This is a huge part in why we love what we do at the Manor, wood in itself is beautiful and will speak to the right owner. Olive wood has a grain like no other, which amplifies its draw to the potential owner. Even when the same art is used to create coaster sets {of four} each coaster will be uniquely different because of the olive wood and its exotic grains. Needless to say every piece ever created will always be a true MISFIT.
